1. Data Collection

AnyJob does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers.

All data (resumes, job descriptions, application pipelines, settings) is stored exclusively in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage APIs (chrome.storage.local and IndexedDB).
We do not operate any backend servers, databases, or analytics services.
We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of user tracking.

2. API Keys (BYOK)

AnyJob uses a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) model. You provide your own API key for AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, DeepSeek). Your API key is stored locally in chrome.storage.local and is never sent to any server other than the AI provider's endpoint you configure.

3. Third-Party Services

The only third-party interaction is the AI API call you initiate. When you click "Analyze" or "Tailor," your resume content and job description are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you configured. AnyJob does not intermediate, proxy, or log these requests.

4. Permissions

AnyJob requests the following Chrome permissions:

sidePanel — to open the extension in Chrome's side panel
storage — to save your settings, profile, pipeline, and anonymous usage statistics locally
Host permissions — to detect and extract job descriptions from supported platforms and to send AI API requests directly from your browser:
- Job sites: linkedin.com, zhipin.com, zhaopin.com, liepin.com, indeed.com, glassdoor.com, 51job.com, lagou.com
- AI providers (BYOK — you choose which one): api.openai.com, openrouter.ai, api.deepseek.com, dashscope.aliyuncs.com, api.moonshot.cn, open.bigmodel.cn
- Local AI: localhost:11434 (Ollama — only if you run a local LLM)

All permissions are used solely for the extension's core functionality. No data is collected or shared with external servers.

5. Local Anonymous Usage Statistics

AnyJob collects anonymous, local-only usage statistics to help improve the product:

Events recorded: onboarding completion, JD analysis, resume tailoring
All event data is stored exclusively in your browser (chrome.storage.local)
Maximum 500 events are retained; older events are automatically pruned
No data is ever transmitted to any external server
You can opt out at any time in Settings by enabling "Analytics Opt-Out"
